Couples & Relationship Counselling in Buckinghamshire, Berkshire & Online

Questions

Is online counselling as effective as in-person sessions?

Yes. Online counselling is secure, flexible, and proven to be effective. We will select the format that aligns best with your preferences and requirements.

Can I come on my own?

Yes. Whether you are single, or if you have a partner who doesn't want to come or you simply want to discuss things alone, you are welcome to bring any aspect of your current, past or future relationships to counselling by yourself.

Do you have to be married?

You don’t have to be married or even attend together to benefit from couples counselling. I offer a supportive space for individuals and partners of all backgrounds — inclusive of age, race, gender, faith, personal beliefs, and social circumstances.

How is confidentiality maintained?

All information shared during counselling remains strictly confidential. Exceptions arise only if there is a serious and immediate risk to yourself or others, or where legal obligations require disclosure. These parameters are clearly outlined in our initial meeting, ensuring transparency from the outset.

How do you manage data and GDPR compliance?

I keep brief clinical notes for my own professional use. These notes act as an aide-memoire to support safe, ethical and consistent therapy. They are concise summaries rather than verbatim transcripts.

Notes are stored securely in line with UK GDPR and are not shared with third parties unless required by law or safeguarding obligations.

What is the cost of a session?

Online or face to face.

Individuals - £75.00.

Couples - £90.00

What is the typical duration of counselling?

The length of counselling depends on your objectives and areas of exploration. Some individuals benefit from short-term engagement (6–8 sessions), while others pursue longer-term therapy for more comprehensive reflection and growth.

Are evening or weekend appointments available?

Flexible scheduling includes some evening appointments to accommodate work and family commitments. Weekend sessions are not available.

What is the cancellation policy?

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a charge, except in emergencies.

Client Agreement

All clients are required to sign a client agreement before therapy or counselling can commence. This will be emailed to you prior to sessions starting .
