My Counselling Approach

Do You Follow a Particular Model?

I work integratively, which means I draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on what feels most helpful for the person or couple I’m working with.

My background includes relationship counselling through RELATE, alongside approaches that help people better understand themselves, their relationships, and the difficulties they may be facing.

Rather than applying one fixed approach to everyone, I try to work in a way that feels thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in real life.

Some clients come needing space to talk openly and reflect. Others want more guidance, practical strategies, or help understanding recurring difficulties in their relationships or emotional lives.

My role is not to direct your life or simply listen in silence, but to work alongside you in a way that feels supportive and helpful.

What Does a First Session Typically Look Like?

The first session is an opportunity to begin understanding what has brought you to counselling and what you hope may change.

We will usually explore what is happening currently, any important relationship or life circumstances, and the support you are hoping to find through therapy.

There is no pressure to share everything immediately. The first session is also a chance for you to get a sense of how it feels to work together.
